I moved into a new house about a month ago, and it's infinitely better than the house I was in last year. For one I now have my own room finally, and two the house isn't falling apart. I also started a new job last month. I'm a chef, at a restaurant. Ok, maybe not quite a chef. I'm a griller at a mongolian BBQ. Thats right, you know the kind, where the guys grill it up infront of your very eyes. Yep thats me. It's pretty sweet, but it's also a bit hot back there; mostly because the grill is always somewhere between 600-800 degrees!!! The best part of the job is when people give me their bowl, and then they say, "You look hot!" and I say "Thanks." Its also pretty satisfying to give them their plate back, after grilling it to perfection. So that's really all that going on for me, next week I'm flying home to CA for a week. yep.

Lifting

Since I've started my weight training class I've leaned a few things. First, whenever you do any lift it's important to make sure you check your progress in the mirror as soon as you put the weights down. Even if, as in my case, you're setting down a 5 lb. dumbell. Flexing while you're checking yourself is optional, though it is encouraged along with pulling up your shirt. Second, doing leg curls is really awkward with a girl standing right in front of you. Can she see down my shorts or not? This one always gets me, and I'm usually left getting off of the machine and waiting for her to move on. Now I wear pants. Third, it's key to find somebody in the room who can't lift as much as you, go next to them, and lift as much more than them as you possibly can. I usually help other guys with this one by making it easy to find a person who lifts less than them, me. That's pretty much the three main things I've learned. Tell me if I've missed anything or if there's something I should really know.

Did anyone else feel that?

About three weeks ago classes started right, and didn't have any of my books. No big deal, who needs books the first day of class. I figure I'll wait to buy books untill the student senate book sale comes around, and maybe even save myself a few bucks for once. As it turns out the most expensive book that I needed wasn't at the student senate book sale or it was sold out by the time I had gotten there. Who knows. At that point I still wasn't ready to fork out $120 for a brand new paperback economics textbook from Calvin's bookstore. So next I decided to go to the next best thing and that was the internet. I had talked to some girl(yeah that's right!) in my class, and she told me that she had bought her book online at Half.com. Genius! I thought. So I decided to try my hand at the mysterious world of internet textbook buying. Everything went great, withing minutes I was surfing the worldwide web, and ordering away. I got a confirmation email that the order was recieved, and then another saying that the book had been shipped and that I could expect it in a week. This is where things went horribly wrong. I don't know if maybe I was supposed to send them a confirmation email that I had gotten their confirmation email, in order to confirm everything one more time. But one week, then two, and now three weeks have passed and no economics book has even come close to touching my front stoop. To make things worse, tomorrow is the first exam in the class. Sweet.

Funny Video

A friend sent me this link and I thought I'd share with you.

What the?

So have you ever been sitting in a class, and looked over and caught a girl who was just blatently checking you out, like you're just a piece of meat for her to sink her teeth into. And then a few minutes later you'll catch them doing it again, and you can tell that they know you caught them because the person looks down immediately to try and get you think they weren't just starting at you, but you both know the truth, and the truth is they were totally just imagining you naked; riding bareback on a white stallion on a far off tropical beach.
Ever had that happen to you? Dang, that must be sweet, I wouldn't know. Well, I guess in a way I would, except I'm usually the one doing the staring.
Let me know if you have this same deal going on; it doesn't matter what side of the table your on.

1 down and 13 more to go

The first week of school is my favorite. That or the second week. I guess thier both favorites. Well, first week is a little more favorite, so if i had my choice between both I'd take the first week becasue it's more favorite, but if the first week is done; it's ok because the second week is still my favorite, too. I lifted wieghts for the first time in my life, since I'm in a wieght training PE class, and I'm not sure yet but I feel bigger and stronger already. Probably my imagination, but just to check I measured my bicep at 16 inches now. That's a 13 inch improvement after one day of class. At that rate, with 14 weeks of class and 2 classes a week plus one outside of class lifting day per week; I should have like, 550 inch biceps by the time summer comes. My caculations may be a bit off, so we'll say 550 inches plus or minus 2 inches. So that's something to look forward to this semester.

long time no see

I guess it's been a while since I posted in the ol' blog. But it didn't take long till I couldn't ignore any longer.

This interim has been quite a ride. And by that I mean I sat on the couch doing as close to nothing as possible. Tomorrow that's going to change dramatically with a drive out to D.C. to see the folks for a few days. Not only did we place, but we won it all. Due mostly to me wearing my trusty inflateable fat suit, and a kickass skit built around it. Some quotes from various audince members:
"Where did you get that awsome fat suit?"
"Wow, that was fat-tastic!"
"Who's that hot guy in the inflateable ballarina fat suit?"
"Man Jeremy, you are just an amazing person. A few years back some friends bet me that I couldn't eat just one tic tac. Having heard nothing about the whole "betcha can't eat just one" deal tic tacs had going, I took the bet thinking it would be an easy 250 bucks. Boy was I wrong. As soon as I finished the first one, the craving for another hit me and hit me hard, right in the balls. I tried hiding the second tic tac away in a Vons bag to avoid temptation, but that didn't help, because it didn't take long for temptation to best me and before I knew it I was breathing friendlier than ever in the afterglow of a second tic tac. Whew that feels good to get that out. Thanks.
